I as in IDEAL – SATEC Sticker I approved as an additive by the BVL (German Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety)
We have been using SATECT Sticker I for some years in applications exempt from approval, and we are convinced of its excellent quality. It was therefore very important to us to get it approved as an additive. We have now managed to do this in cooperation with the manufacturer. You can find it in the additives list under the number LZ 00A788-00/00.
No other adhesive here has yet obtained such excellent results in the Heubach test, and this is why we are now using it as our standard: All other products are measured against it in our tests. SATEC Sticker I is a white, liquid polymer and can be easily used on all seed types. It can be combined with most coating agents/active substances and additives.
Fully automated! – Now available for use in laboratory/ application technology centres
1) The SATEC dosing unit SLP – more than just a simple pump!
We have once again improved our relatively new SATEC dosing unit SLP even further. It not only precisely pumps coating agents into the mixing chamber of the coating unit, it now also controls the entire coating process: precision product volume dosing, mixing time and discharging. All this means that our compact dosing unit can become the mobile brain behind your laboratory coating units! Dosing parameters can also be read in from a csv file.
2) SATEC laboratory and technology centre batch coater – upgradable and modifiable for even more ease of use!
The discharge valves can now also be pneumatically opened and closed at the press of a button, just like our large systems. They can also be automatically controlled using the above-mentioned SLP dosing unit, which ensures controlled mixing times. Alternatively, control systems for multiple pumps/powder dosing units are also available.
SATEC is Certified seed treatment facility for coating!
Since autumn 2020, we can use coating agents which are suitable for use in “Seed treatment facilities with quality assurance systems for dust reduction” (NT699X). This was published by the Julius Kühn Institute in Braunschweig in the descriptive list on 12.02.2021 in Part B / Testing agencies for the research sector: JKI list of facilities (in German only)
The test was implemented by Ms. Weimar-Bosse at JKI. We would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her time.
The test covered the following SATEC CONCEPT® machines: Micro, Macro, ML 1000, ML 2000, 2.10, 1.25, 1.50
The scope of testing was significantly greater than currently required. Thankfully, and sensibly, this requirement (“Seed treatment facility with quality assurance systems for dust reduction”) now only applies to seed treatment facilities used for batch sizes > 5 kg, such as our SATEC CONCEPT® 2.10 or 1.25, for example.
The active ingredient manufacturer has challenged this Commission decision in Brussels
The active ingredient manufacturer has challenged this Commission decision in Brussels, due to their deep conviction that they have again renewed their application for approval of a safe, effective and actually essential active ingredient. We are awaiting the court decision with interest. Read more HERE.

A future without seed treatments?
Hard to imagine! And we are not alone with our conviction. On the video of the European Seed Association, experts with practical experience explain the need for this most environmentally friendly of all plant protection techniques. In minutes 3.53 to 4.03, the video shows a coating plant with several SATEC Concept 1.50 coating machines, together with our dryers.
